Northland College is a small, coeducational, liberal arts college in Ashland, which is a city in Ashland and Bayfield counties, in Wisconsin state, USA, with more than 8600 people, living within its limits, as estimated during the 2000 census.
The college was established in 1906 and it is the successor to the North Wisconsin Academy. Northland's sports teams are called the Lumberjacks or Lumberjills, and they compete in NCAA Division III. The college is a member of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association.
The distinctive colors of the Lumberjacks/Lumberjills are orange and blue.
